UFDTech, who also do these rumor videos, paired a 1080 Ti with a 8700K and ran the same Ashes benchmark that was "leaked" on the 2080. The 1080 Ti returned a higher average framerate. So, to me at least, that 2080 benchmark is highly suspect. This is the kind of stuff that makes me think that GamerMeld rumor videos aren't telling the whole story.

RTX is a gigantic leap forward for graphics technology. I used to do 3D modeling, and rendering complex scenes with plenty of materials and lights could take days. Now you can get high quality ray tracing in real time. That's a huge improvement. That being said, what matters is how much it improves the look of things in a gaming scenario. I think the difference will be significant enough for people to want to upgrade, once they've seen what it can do.
