I've always used scrap plywood from the job sites to create the same idea, it was a great idea then, and a lot cheaper too

Absolutely Best way to quiet down a Generator is purchase a Honda, I run mine during times of no power and my ole' lady that bitches about eveything doesn't bitch about the noise because there ain't no noise to bitch about. you can barely tell that it's running. Btw, I'm not getting paid to endorse Honda.

Yeah but it's $3, 000 so if the zombie box cost almost as much if not sometimes more than the generator is it really worth it

Or just buy 3inch foam boards and duct tape, make a box, leave the exhaust end of the box open and cut a 6 inch diameter hole in the front. Dropped my decibels 7 points when dropping down just 3 is good.

One thing I keep hearing out of NC is that people are afraid to use their gas generators because they keep getting stolen. If everyone is without power and everyone hears the same generator running, people are coming
