Next to the handle of my pack I have sewn a longer paracord one. When I want to hang my pack I grab a thick branch and cow hitch it to the end. This way it dangles in front of me (and I don't forget it😆)

Umm why? I have been camping many hundreds of times and bush-walked all my life and never felt the need to hang up my backpack. Just put it on the ground or on a rock.

Sorry to tell you but that's a very old trick im 63 years old and my grandfather used to do this when he would take me out to bear mountain.
