CARS (Common Altitude Reference System) example - ICARUS demo, ideal world which does not exist

Показать описание
This is ideal illustration of the world which not exists. The reason for that is very simply. It does not contain errors in measurement and conversion between different systems.

The animation illustrates the complexity involved in assessing flight altitude. Yellow color presents the heights/altitudes converted using the CARS/ICARUS system.

Please note that the change in pressure QNH can be immediately applied to the connected unmanned system, but requires time to adjust the altimeter pressure in the manned vessel.

All conversion require DTM/DSM models.

Legend:
AGL - Above Ground Level
ASL - Above Surface Level
AMSL - Above Mean Sea Level
AT / O - Above Take Off
QNH - The altimeter sub-scale setting to obtain elevation when on the ground.
QNE - refers to the indicated altitude in reference to standard preassure 1013.25 hPa
