Millennials have grown up with lots of parody songs in the early 2000s - early 2010s (weird al, the lonely island, etc) so I think that’s why it’s still a go-to joke format for a certain section of the generation, but it’s definitely cringe and outdated now lmao

Zillennial here, alot of this "infighting" is being propped up by capitalistic interests(fashion/purchase industry) and specifically targets women's insecurities of "looking old" to distract and create a divide between two incredibly similar generations that would be very powerful when joined together.

I'm 26 (so, a millennial) but I wear a middle part and high waist mom/boyfriend jeans, I also find the rap tiktoks reallyyyy cringe. At the same time I don't feel any connection with gen z either. The constant reminder from them that you're old and dead at 25 is as cringe as rapping tbh, do they think they won't age? Idk, as a young millennial I often feel alienated by both generations.
