In Yuna's sphere, she says that Kimahri received the wishes of a man facing death...the wish to look after the daughter of Braska.
Auron really is a true friend cause he devoted himself to look after Tidus and Yuna, the children of his two best friends.

it's so fucking sad, I'll never forget the impact the characters and the world this game had on me. It's definitely has a cast loyalty that I've never seen before.

The Auron of the past being much more rigid in his beliefs compared to his visibly more open present self was one of the big mysteries of his character, perhaps even moreso than how he is aware of Tidus' circumstances. The payoff really goes to show that your faith and values collapsing in on you can be devastating, but it can also set you free.

OK but for real, imagine the sheer absolute willpower Auron must've had in life to crawl all the way from the Zanarkand Dome to the outside of Bevelle. Just dragging himself up and down Mt Gagazet and through the Calm Lands.

I also doubt it was devoid of fiends getting in his way, which only adds to his sheer badassery. If there's an FFX Prequel, I don't for a moment doubt that we, ll control Auron in the finale, slowly inching towards Bevelle. Maybe not the entire way, but still.

Final Fantasy 7 Will aways be my favourite, but 10 will always be the deepest. Everything from Tidus hating Jecht to learning the Spira's religion is an existential lie is amazing. Beautifully overwhelming. 10 might be the best Narratively speaking

I like how Auron kind of adopted Jecht's personality and loosened up. He was a strict monk like character, but all those years after you can tell Jecht rubbed off on him a little.

This really got me tearful the first time I played it. Auron is one of my favorite characters alongside Yuna and Tidus! They're my favorite team.

I know this video is more about Auron, but I wanna say, I really like Jecht. He's an ass, sure, and he's not father of the year or anything, but out of the two parents Tidus had, Jecht was the one who paid attention to him and thought about him. Earlier in the game, Tidus explained that he started to resent Jecht for hogging all the attention from his mother, but while the mother wouldn't even look at Tidus, Jecht did and told the mother to go give him some attention. Even in that moment, Jecht thought about Tidus. Part me of wonders if Jecht knew, or at least had a feeling, that Tidus's mother was not going to be able to take care of him due to losing Jecht, and maybe that's why he asked Auron to look after Tidus, since the mother wasn't going to do it.
I also love that in Jecht's spheres and in one of the memories where Jecht volunteers to become the final aeon, he talked about wanting to see his son become a blitzball star.
So yeah, I loved that despite being an ass who has made his son cry on multiple occasions, he loved his son and always thought about him while the mother was quite neglectful of Tidus.

As for Auron, I kinda wonder what his days of being Tidus's parental guardian were like. Like he already knew from Jecht that Tidus was into blitzball, so I wondered if Auron contributed in any way to building Tidus's passion for blitzball.

Anyway, loved this game. Might play it again in the future.
