Even with recent price cuts, most Intel CPUs still don't make sense for gamers. The i5-9400F is no different.

This is why i don't like the i7 9700k. Less than 2 years after Intel released its 6C/6T chips, we're already seeing some games have frame time issues. I do not trust an 8C/8T chip to last the next 3-5 years.

I have a ryzen 2600 and i5 9400f and for some reason my pc just feels smoother and more “clean” with the i5. It also gets a bit better gaming performance. The 2600x is not even a good value as you can overclock the 2600. Also with GPUs, I hate my rx580 and every time I go back to my 1060 it feels so much better especially with GeForce experience. So can you stop scaring people away from intel? It’s not that bad of a value, stop hating.

I have a 9700k paired with a 1080ti and I game at 2K resolution and I have no issues with frame times or frame dips... and I'm pretty sure you can upgrade from a 9400 f to a 9900K or a non k if you wanted too...

I am definitely going with AMD, when I have the money to build my PC hopefully one day. Intel is just way too expensive.
