1)Acid=Substance which gives hydrogen ions or protons(h+) when dissolved in water.For e.g=HCL(Hydrochloric Acid), HNO3(Sulphuric Acid).

2)Base:All the metallic oxides and hydroxides are called based.For e.g= MgO(Magnesium Oxide)
Sodium oxide

3)Salts=Substances prepared by the reaction of acid and bases.Eg:NaCl(Sodium Chloride)
