They didn't ate soap, but they the sad it was bitter, because some items in base And we can find by changing colour while adding some solutions.
For example :
Take a small paper or white cloth And take turmeric power And rub on the paper or cloth that you took, And then wash it using soap to remove the stain, after washing see the colour of the paper or cloth I will be in red colour.

And the base is red Colour, base is always bitter in taste, This is how scientists find the taste of the soap

And never they eat soap, so kindly don't eat the soap for checking taste
