My 20 years of SAD syndrome and mood fluctuations has been cured by following the Carnivore diet, including plenty of red meat, organ meats and fat. I had tried the usual advice of getting outside in daylight for a brisk walk in nature, no blue light in the evenings. I also have a south facing house with large windows so the living rooms of my house get plenty daylight. I even planned autumn winter holidays or nice events to look forward to, but the SAD was still there threatening to engulf me. Even used to feel terribly low in extended bad weather here in the UK in spring summer too. The only time i felt really good was in bright warm sunny weather.
Previous to switching to carnivore I had been following a supposedly healthy but highly plant based diet, for most of my adult life, with some meat, but no red meat, eggs or dairy. I had been found to have deficiencies and sub optimal levels and numerous associated health issues which is why i started carnivore, i had no idea it would resolve my SAD and mood fluctuations, but i now have seen hundreds of people reporting carnivore has resolved every form of mental health disorders.

It is same as jet lag. If you travel as a normal human from one country to another walk or horse or even car. The speed is reduced enough that body can adjust slowly to change but when traveling air the body is not getting the chance.
Same with weather. As soon as heat starts AC is on and winter heat on. If you let normal change take place our body will adjust better than other wise. You did not see this ancient times (data is also not there) as body adjusted gradually. This does not mean winter blues won’t be there in places we have less sunlight.
