I'm looking to restart making content and as HBO won't let us monetize our biggest video, I wanted to try a new approach where you can support me and the players directy!

Epic Renditions Track 8 - Ramin Djawadi's (and Sigur Ros' arrangement inspiration) The Rains of Castamere from Game of Thrones with solo performances by Sarah Berresford and Lidia Alonso.

'And who are you?' the proud lord said,
'that I must bow so low'
'Only a cat of a different coat,
that's all the truth I know'

'A coat of gold, a coat of red,
a lion still has claws.
And mine are long, and sharp my lord
As long and sharp as yours.'

And so he spoke, and so he spoke,
that Lord of Castamere,
And now the rains weep o'er his halls
with no-one there to hear.
Yes now the rains, weep o'er his halls
and not a soul to hear.

I hated the Lannisters. Until I visited my grandmother, found a chair with golden lionheads on it and realized that I am the true heir of Casterly rock.

Most covers of this song don't seem to understand what it's about. Emphasizing the wrong lyrics or drawing out incorrect parts or singing passionate and high rather than serious and low. This version nails it perfect.

And who are you,
the proud Lord said,
that I must bow so low?
Only a cat of a different coat,
that's all the truth I know.

In a coat of gold or a coat of red,
a lion still has claws,
and mine are long, and sharp my Lord,
as long and sharp as yours.

And so he spoke, and so he spoke,
that Lord of Castamere,
but now the rains weep o'er his hall,

Yes now the rains weep o'er his hall,

Somewhere in the 7 hells Tywin Lannister is smirking with pride

It's performances like this that make me wonder how much modern video game and fantasy television shows have put a desire in young musicians to pursue music as a career.

This version is worthy of Cersei's madness. When King's Landing is a pile of ash and stone, I hope we hear a similar rendition.

Those who watched the show no longer have hope...

But to us book readers, there is still a chance. A chance this saga will end in glory.

This will forever be the best series I've ever watched. I wish I could experience it all over again, for the first time!

this one. you are the first female singer that understand that this song is a sinister warning from the lannister. not mere sad and melancholic song. great intrepretation!

Hey Rains of Castamere fans! Many thanks for all the kind comments. So! I chose Sarah for her low, melancholic, beautiful tone. I'd heard many male renditions, and wanted to hear this from a female perspective, this is a musical interpretation and celebration, also, the events of the Rains of Castamere affect everyone... However, if there is enough interest, I might put out a version with a male voice, to be more specific - my voice! Let me know, Ross.

This is my new baby cousin's lullaby. I call him my Little Lion and I sing the Rains to him every single time. He falls asleep so peacefully. He will grow up to be just as much of a Lannister as the rest of us.

Sarah Berresford's low vocals are exquisite. Perfect for this piece!

Man, years later, this rendition still brings me to tears, there's not a lot of movies or any media that has that power good job

Can't describe how much i love this version. Sarah's voice just perfectly presented a third person singing about the story after years from the vicissitudes of dynasties.
