@TurretinFan My thoughts which you may not agree and that's OK, brother. I love you for your zeal for God and seeking truth. My stance is...

1 Corinthians 15:50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.

To me, it seems as if the kingdom of God is a literal place, but flesh and blood can not be in it. When we are resurrected with glorified bodies, we can physically be there.

Right now... we are "seeking the kingdom of God" and "preaching the kingdom of God, " but this doesn't require were actually there. We have hope of entering in through faith in Jesus.

The Bible seems to speak in prolepsis terms. As if we are already there because we have faith we will. But literally, we aren't physically there yet... because we still have flesh and blood which cannot enter. Jesus was raised with flesh and bone, a spiritual body. A form we will inherit.

1 John 3:1-3 Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not. Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.

Being reborn is that transformation where we put on incorruptiblity and immortality. This current body will never be incorruptible or immortal. It will die and were birthed into a new body accessible to the kingdom of God physically.

I think this is where the disconnect comes from. How the Bible uses prolepsis to foreshadow what will be as if it is currently.

I'm an Arminian but I am gonna of have disagree with Dan when it comes to what is the Gospel. We all know the core is the cross and the forgiveness of sin and being reconciled to God. Yet, the Good News entails the reign of of Christ and the Kingdom of God(whether here now extending to the ends of the earth or being here on Christs' return). The Gospel is peace with God, it is His Kingdom come, it is Him as King reigning.
