It was a great video for leaving Windows 11, really love Fedora as a more user-friendly distro, found that it's stable, fast and has great Wayland support.

I installed the Fedora cinnamon spin on Friday and am loving it. Only downfall of the cinnamon spin is the dnfdragon software center is clunky and does not except the flathub repo's. I installed the gnome software center instead and left the dnfdragon still installed, may uninstall it if I see no need for it.

The cinnamon version is becoming my production machines daily driver.

I use Mega also, and it's great that it includes a client for Linux so that you have connection to your Mega drive right from Nautilus, or whatever file manager you're using in Linux.

I want to like fedora but I have had issues with simple scan which I use all the time. Other than this, Fedora is excellent!! Love your comments as well!!! 😀

Fedora is a nice distro
It also gives the chance to switch between different Window Managers(i3 ...) & Desktop Environments(gnome/kde/xfce ...)

I haven't been able to get Fedora or other distros running without problems in the last few months. I'll try again when I get my new computer. I'm looking forward to getting back to my roots as I first learned Linux on Redhat 5.x.

I'm curious if you've tried Ventoy for your USB disk? it has changed my life. Always great videos by the way, brother.

I had Fedora 36 install for a while. I loved it. Then I tried Nobara Project and fell in love with Fedora even more. BUT... I gave in. I couldn't do certain games. I couldn't do office stuff, without others in my company having problems with my files. I couldn't get used to FreeCAD, for doing my speaker enclosure designs. There were some other problems, but those were the main.
However, IF I decide to go back to linux, it will be Fedora based. I even had kernel 6.0 and newest nvidia drivers working. Dangit, now I want to go back to it. lol

A complete beginner here, after installation (not on virtual machine) do you remove the usb drive and you can still use fedora like with windows?

One small correction. MEGA does look into your files. Maybe not by person but by the system. I had a file downloaded from internet and uploaded to MEGA which was a hacktool (I don't remember what it was used for) packed in a zip and left it in my mega drive for months. When I was looking through all my cloud files again months later, I noticed the zip and wondered what it was for so I tried to download it. But MEGA didn't let me download the file saying something like it violated their terms and conditions. Note that I haven't even shared that file to anyone who could have reported the file I am saying this from real life experience so I can confidentially say they probably do look into your files.

Hi eBuzz, maybe you can answer a question for me or at least help point me in the right direction. I'm not exactly a newbie when it comes to Linux but I'm not exactly a seasoned veteran either. I have a small Active Directory server set up and all my computers on my network connect to it. Now I know how to do that with Fedora with a how-to guide, but there's one thing I've never figured out how to do. I have some network shares that are automatically connected via script when I login. I know this is impossible to do on Linux just because the ecosystems are totally different, but is there a way that I can manually set up a link to my remote network share? For example, my share is located at \\server\myshare on Windows, I can access that on Fedora via SMB, but is there a way to create either a shortcut or something in My Computer so that I can just click on it to access it rather than having to always type it in the locations bar? I mean I know it's not a huge thing but it is one of those things that would make the transition a lot easier since I access my network shares quite often. It's just one thing that I've never been able to figure out with success or even find a guide that addresses what I'm talking about.
