Super Easy Metal Table Legs

My girlfriend Tracy made a coffee table for her son and asked if I would weld up some simple metal legs, so I thought it would be a nice and quick video to share.

Thank you for taking the time to watch my video.

I am a creator of things, a metal artist, a maker of stuff, a woodworker, a welder, and a bohemian traveler of the world.

I hope to inspire, motivate, teach and be a part of the lives that seek to become creators of their own wonderful creations.

This video is awesome for someone new to welding!

I agree, a buffing pad with a 120 grit disc gives a great look to metal. Stay safe brother!

Where do you get your metal from and what size square tubing is that? Almost doesn't seem worth making them today vs. just buying them online. Thanks!

Thanks for the video Doug. Was that the sound of a 3D printer in the background?

Great build, it would be a great addition to get some rubber based plastic insert pads to slot into the open bases of square tube to prevent scratching wooden floors. Thanks mate

Hi Doug, quick response time. After a closer look it at 2;03. Bottom of shelves right in front you. Just to the right side of the Arizona tea. It inside if a box.four metal looking fingers with holes where finger nail would go. Look cool.hop all is well

Does it sway at all? Looking to build a scaled-up version as a computer desk and curious if a cross beam may be needed.

You should teach shop class if your business ever slows down. You have a natural talent

Do you have an estimate cost on making this?

I like the idea... isn't there a risk that the screws would pull out if someone (drunk or tired) leaned up against the table?

Shouldn’t those holes be slotted to allow for expansion and contraction of the wood top? Especially oversized in the direction of the cross grain?
