... number 2 is wrong. One or more of the navigation lights were non-functioning. The pilot believed the lights, which were on, as the correct course and followed it. Subsequent legal action found the state of Kentucky guilty of not repairing the channel lights. The State of Kentucky had begun tearing down the structure, thinking it was the federal governments repair, but that legal decision was not correct and Kentucky, not the Federal Government had to fix the bridge. There were 3 unlimited captains on board at the time of the accident.

The first one was well loaded yes but I would bet the the boats hull was rusted thin and just tore apart through poor maintenance.

I don’t even know how to row a boat yet alone drive those huge boats I commend these pilots, accidents happen, thankfully everyone came out okay 🙏🏾😮‍💨
