I live in Seattle, a port city. Once or twice a year, we witness collisions between commercial vessels. The main causes are 'navigation error' and 'steering equipment failure.

they are famous in northern Europe and their crews tough as nails!

24:24 WHAT was this guy thinking? The currents were clearly beyond that craft's abilities, even when hugging close to land, where currents are slower.

the one who hit the Wilhemsbrug in The Netherlands wasn't overloaded... in normal circumstances it would've passed under the bridge without issues, however, the water levels were extremely high at that time and the captain apparently forgot about the tiny little detail of checking whether he could still pass the bridge with the higher water levels... (investigation into the accident is still ongoing)...
