The most incredible turn of events took place on the stage 20 individual time trial on La Planche des Belles Filles at the 2020 Tour de France, with Tadej Pogacar of UAE Team Emirates winning the stage and taking the yellow jersey from fellow Slovenian Primoz Roglic on Team Jumbo-Visma

What a ride by Tadej Pogacar. Stunning.

Now that's what I call a deserved win. His team was no match for TJV, he's 21 years old, he's been the winner of most man to man battles between him and Roglic, and now he's given all of the world's best time trialists a lesson in beating the clock.

I feel for Roglic and Team Jumbo Visma, but perhaps this win by Pogacar will teach them that mathematics isn't enough to become a legend in this sport. The SKY era is officially over. We'll have to see what the next couple of years bring, but young riders are getting up there quicker and quicker, which means there's a lot of scope for dark horses suddenly emerging on top, surprise attacks for top of GC, statisticians being fired on the spot by frustrated sports directors, wattage nerds being told to shut the fuck up, and just passionate sportsmen gloriously riding to victory without a guy in a car telling them to "just pace home with the bunch all the way to Paris, fuck the spectators, fuck glory, we've got this handy graph here to show you."

I really feel for Roglic specially after loosing the Giro last year in the way He did and now the Tour He was also my favourite, but Pogacar is a monster of a cyclist and being only 22 He can only get better, if He stays focus and healthy how many Tours can He win?
