Do not underestimate the level of class displayed by Roglic. This is one of the worst moments of his life and he saw fit in that moment to go congratulate the winner who had just beaten him. Pure sportsmanship.

Pogacar absolutely deserved to win, but I feel kind of sad for Roglic. I mean what a life story. Former world junior champion in ski jumping, than he started ride professionally when he was 23(Pogacar is 21 years old now) a he did incredible progress during these 7 years. He didn't do anything wrong during this tour, he was great in mountains, also today in time trial, but still it wasn’t enough. I just hope he will be able to win TDF once in future.

What he just did is the dream of every kid who wants to be a cyclist. Taking three jerseys and win three stages in your first TdF at age 21. And he seems to be a nice kid as well.

Roglic showed his class by congratulating his friend and worthy opponent. Entire Jumbo-Visma is heartbroken, but let’s not forget that although not his best time trial in history, Roglic still finished 5th.

The problem was that even Tom Dumoulin gave 1.20 to Pogačar on that performance, it wasn’t as if Roglic choked here. It was just that Pogačar was just that good.

This is what top sport is all about. All in, giving it everything. Sometimes it’s heartbreak and sometimes pure ecstasy. I hope for Roglic he manages to win a tour in the future. With such a a strong team it is still doable.

That said, this kid Pogačar just catapulted his career to outer space. Chapeau and a massive congratulations.
