I didn’t think i did anything because everything was flat and there was no discernible dust or anything but it works now, like magic. I greatly appreciate it

Thanks so much - you fixed my exact problem in 2:09 minutes. My saddle wasn't seated properly, didn't affect normal acoustic playing but recording on Login Pro, all I was getting was the bass strings.

Dude, thank you! I have been playing guitar for 50 years and I've never had this kind of problem. I just bought a Martin with this pickup. It was perfect when I got it home. I quickly changed the strings, played it for awhile unplugged to break the strings in, all good. Got to my gig, plugged in to the PA and the higher strings had no volume at all. Came home from my gig, watched this video and all better. I was ready to give the guitar back to the dealer.

Thank you ! You help me with my old Epiphone EJ 200 . I bought used few weeks ago and I feel the small E string gosthy when I plug the guitar . With your tutorial, I realized with your capo test the gosthy sound disappears and, by the way that the angle of the saddle was too shallow . After a little fix done, it’s all ok ! Thanks again !

Thank you for this video. I had replaced a broken bridge saddle on my Fender Acoustic and it was too tight and uneven resulting in a tinny treble sound and occasional loud bursts when strumming hard. I evened out the bottom of the saddle like you suggested and made it a bit thinner so it would "slide" into place and it now sounds much better. I am glad you took the time to teach how to install this properly.

Thanks so much for this! I had the issue when i changed my strings, I didn't push the saddle all the way down. As I was tuning up, I noticed that the saddle was skipping/jumping more than normal but thought nothing of it. I tried doing the "push the saddle back" like you said, and the thing I was using slipped and I scratched my guitar :(

However, I then loosened my strings all the way (with a capo on 1) and took them out, made sure the saddle was all the way in, and put the strings back and that fixed it!

Thanks again!

Some angels work repairing acoustic guitars, thank you so much! I bought a used martin and the volume was very low, didnt notice the saddle was placed wrong.

THANK YOU! My saddle had gradually shifted so only the top couple strings were sounding. When tapping on the saddle only those areas made any sound. Loosened the strings a ways, pushed the saddle back, it clicked into place, voila. Took all of 5 minutes!

This is pretty much spot on. The Fishman under-saddle pickup was not something I was familiar with till I picked up a Martin Jr 10E recently. It is very sensitive to the contact of the saddle. The saddle must fit in easily … I had to sand a little of a Tusq which was too tight a fit. The surface of the underneath of the saddle must be perfectly flat too.

Thank you so much, I’ve been needing my guitar for worship and I couldn’t use it because only 2 strings played on the amp!!! Thanks!!!

Thanks brother. Your insight and knowledge saves us common folk a lot of money and time. Most of these music stores are gouging us and there is always a long wait list to get a repair.

What about grounding issues?, on my guitar there's a loud 60Hz hum that I can't get rid of, only by touching the end of the cable jack it disappear but when I touch the strings it's still there, Is there a way to ground properly electroacoustic guitars? Mine is not cheap, it's a Martin DC1E with a Fishman Presys+ preamp

I want to let you that this was such a helpful video. I had the problem of having low volumes on the bass and high volume on the treble strings. Just the first 3 minutes helped me solve it within minutes. A problem I had niggling for the last 6 months and I was so down that the guitar had this defect. And in India, you don't know where to get it done properly.
I could do it at home by myself. Thanks!!!!

Recently I had a problem with my Yamaha APX series original pick up. Strings 1, 2 and 3 sound so thin while the other half of the strings sound louder. I found your video here very useful, thank you for sharing

I didn’t see a link to converse privately and just wanted to inform you that the guitar string winding tool has a half circle cutout for removing bridge pins out easily and non marring to the bridge and quickly I might add. Even ones that have been inserted to tightly. Just wanting you to get the most out of your tools in the least amount of time as sometimes tools do not come with details of uses. Have a great day and enjoyed your videos

Thank you so much! 👍👍

It's just what i needed right now... I sanded the saddle when i changed my guitar strings. Now the two middle strings has no sound on the amp. I hope it can be fixed with this method.

This is great is nothing’s wrong. If there is a problem with the jack or the electronics you don’t say do.
