You bet I want to avoid the post office! 37 years was enough! Retired last week, too late this year for the AT (I am slow). Hoping for next year.

i love that you point out it can be done cheaply, i was recently watching someone that did the entire AT with a total budget of 1k and they succeeded .

Stink, stank, stunk. Great tips Alton. It can be freezing until Mid May in Shenandoah’s. Also we have had some rainy, chilly memorial weekends. Cold doesn’t last.
