At the end he had to walk all the way back because he didn’t remember if he locked the car or not

Great video. I don't want to spoil it with a silly comment, but thanks again for taking the (lots and lots of) time to film your thru-hike so that the rest of us could experience it with you vicariously. When I think of all the time you must have spent setting up your camera then returning for it after you got the shot--well, you probably did the AT twice! Again, well done ...

Very well made. I love the fact that you had to set up your camera, walk through the shot, and go back and get your camera. A lot of extra effort. Must have added a few miles to your hike too.

Hey Spielberg, it’s Bigfoot. We hiked out of Fontana Dam together. Thank you for putting these videos up. I miss that trail every day and am so grateful for all the people I met there.

Having recently walked for 9 days to Santiago, Spain, this looks like a monumental challenge. Than you for a most inspiring video.

Never commented on a YouTube video before ...but this one deserves it. Watched you from beginning to end and the series was amazing. Simply the best AT video set out there. Well done young man!

I'm Juan, watching you from Spain. I did Camino de Santiago twice back in 2013 & 2014, and I love your vídeos. I think you're a ver y especial person, and I can really connect with your way of thinking and living in a very easy way. You're vídeos make me really happy, and watching them I can relieve tons of beautiful things that I have unforgotten. Sadly, now I have a sarcoma in both legs, and I can't walk, but I am fighting every day and trying to cure myself with all of my heart energy. Every day I'm dreaming with complete the entire THRU hike, and watching these vídeos I have a little hope that makes me smile. Thank you for all, Craig, en España tienes una persona que te sigue y te aprecia, y a la que cada día ayudas a soñar y a luchar contra su enfermedad. Gracias.

This may be the best AT videography of the year. You lived up to your trail name.

Spielberg, I know this is dated, but I wanted to thank you so much for the care in which you took making all of these videos. Your honestly is amazing. For the last couple months, I have been watching all of your videos in the morning as I have used various cardio gym equipment. I have been following other hikers vlogs and blogs and trail journals for years. Yours rates as one of the very best. I have hiked several week long adventures on the AT which happens around once a year since I live in Phoenix. I share the dream of many to complete a thru to hike, but it will have to wait until the class of 2025 when I retire. I hope one day you will be watching my Vlog as I touch that sign on Katahdin. So many of you who I have watched have taught me physical and mental aspects of the trail. I literally had tears watching you touch that sign, but honestly, it happens every time I see someone I have followed on videos or books I have read summit Katahdin. You seem like a wonderful human being and I hope you are doing well. Thank you for sharing your journey—Turk

Please Lord, let me follow the path of this gentleman one day through this trail before I grow too fragile and ill to do it. Ever since I visited Northern Georgia I have dreamed on keep walking all the way to that wilderness up to Maine. What an inspirational video. I am going to subscribe to see the details of this journey. Safe travels friend.

Found ur CDT vids so I’m backtracking. Will watch ur PCT next which I completed in 2015. Quality vlogs like yours help keep my hiking enthusiasm cup full. At 74 & after 7k miles, that’s important since I see no end In spending time in the wilderness. Thx for ur contribution.

Spielberg, thanks so much for the videos. I also thruhiked in 2016, about a month before you. I started on January 27 and completed on July 27. My trail name was Christmastree. I took a few breaks for various reasons. Watching your video was like being back on the trail. I live in the Adirondacks and hike often, but I feel like the AT is calling me back again. Thanks for the memories. Christmastree

Ever since I started following you in Spring, I looked forward to your updates, and enjoyed each viewing as a special moment of serenity in an otherwise frenetic world. I will truly miss that. But thanks for always reminding us, as you reminded yourself, of the blessings of good health and of our beautiful world. Thanks, also, for all the extra time and effort that you put into producing these uniquely insightful videos about a great trail!
