A "WIN" for those of us who have been in similar situations! As well, refreshing to see someone dressed for Court!😀💜💯

It is refreshing to see someone that dresses appropriately for court. Makes him much more credible.

Clear, concise, respectful, and even dressed! He did a fine job of both stating his case, as well as listening to what was being said, and utilizing that information. That officer’s face though. I had to chuckle, because you could see he really didn’t want to agree that it was plausible, lol. Thank you for finding this one, Squishy!

Comin in hot! Made me lol. This guy is the most sane rational professional and logical person I have ever see appear as a defendant on OSG!

*I don't think I've **_ever_** seen Judge Fink seriously consider a Defendant's testimony before! I just assume that it's a "Guilty No Matter What" when I see Fink on the bench - for her to actually find in the defendant's favor is a whole new thing!*

The guy did a nice job with that. Respectful, articulate and he was dressed.

My hat is off to this young man! Even though it is on Zoom, people sometimes forget they are in court. It is nice to see someone show respect to the court by dressing appropriately. His mannerisms, choice of words, and the respect he showed to the court probably went a long way. In this case, I am not deducting points for the man-bun, LOL!!!

I really appreciate the officers honesty. While at the scene, the defendant didn’t mention any of this so the officer did what he thought was right. At the hearing, he didn’t just try and “maintain the integrity” of the citation, he was honest about the possibility that it happened the way the defendant said it did. Well done for all 3 of them.

Great job providing an explanation that the officer had to agree was plausible!

What a rare bird you have found!

Respectful, dressed appropriately for court, well-comported, rational, reasonably relevant and concise in his arguments. He talks a bit too much and a bit too emotively, and wanders into speculation at times. But that's only baseline for a non-lawyer who hasn't done this a hundred times before -- and note that the judge only had to reprove him *once.*

I still don't endorse going pro se on *anything, * but if you're gonna go there, this is the way to walk.

This worked because he wasn't an idiot, He knows how to act in court, he never tried any sov cit garbage, and he never denied being involved. He did a terrific job

Wow!
That was awesome!
This young man had his facts and evidence ready to go.
He was professional and he even gave props to the officer stating "he could understand where he was coming from'.
Good job to this young man.

Honestly it does sound like he's telling the truth.
So even though everything else was proper today in court, I feel like Justice really did prevail and the facts seemed to line up exactly as he stated!
Thanks Squishy this was very interesting!💖

He had me at, "he works for Jimmy Johns and was coming up hot". JJ's drivers, especially on bikes, disregard rules of the road on such a regular basis that his testimony is entirely plausible. Well done.

Almost the same thing happened to me in the spring of 1996 when a lady rear-ended me in Colorado Springs. I moved into left lane, signaled for a left turn into a car wash, and stopped because there was a car coming from the opposite direction. As I did so, I glanced in the mirror and noticed a Jeep about fifty yards behind me that bearing down on me from behind at a high rate of speed. The woman at the wheel was looking at her passenger and had a big smile on her face. I realized that there was no way she would be able to stop or get around me, and there was no way I'd be able to get out of her way before she hit me, so all I could do was yell to my wife, "Hold on, " as I threw my arm in front of her chest to prevent her from being thrown around. According to the cop who'd responded, he'd estimated that she'd hit me while traveling at least ten miles over the posted limit. He said my skid marks proved that I'd been stopped with the brakes applied at the time of impact but that she'd made no attempt to brake. He cited her for speeding and following too closely. My car was totaled, and my wife had to go to the hospital for a strained lower back caused by the seatbelt when that other vehicle practically folded our car in half. We tried to sue her to recover my wife's lost wages when she couldn't work but she skipped town. It was four years before they found her and were able to subpoena her. By then, we recovered almost nothing.

I am glad the officer was honest. He could have easily lied just to secure a "win" Glad to see he knows his job isn't to "win" a case. Everyone in this video seemed trustworthy.
