Very good presentation. Got question about starting service. In section Postgres cluster I see different commands for starting service.
postgres -D /postgres/data/instance2
Or
pg_ctl -D /postgres/data/instance2 -l log file start
And then in the beginning section I saw
systemctl start postgresql12

What’s the difference? Can’t we use systemctl for starting instance2?

Well I am not able to get the same as your result against the system ctl status, as my PID dont show postmaster it shows as : Main PID: 11821 (code=exited, status=0/SUCCESS)

Also the Cgroups are not visisble, that may be because i am using WSL
