That's a nice little grinder you picked up. You get new caps and a resistor or 2 and it'll run for another 50 years. It's almost as good as picking up a 1908 Brazilian for 75.00 bucks. I did that.

Clear signs of filter cap failure. You should replace 'em ASAP.

That's a deal right there. I bought a Kalamazoo Model Two for $100, changed the cord, new 1A fuse, new filter capacitors, cleaned the pots and on/off switch. Shielded the inside of the chassis with aluminum tape. Sounds great even without pedals. The only thing missing is mojo...since it is in such fantastic shape, I don't think it was ever played.

I love little vintage tube amps. You can push them and get nasty dirty tone without deafening yourself and the dog.

Score, well worth the money in looks and sounds. Cheesy can be alot of fun.

Sounds killer! Small amps have the biggest sound sometimes. And the noise should go away when you play it regularly...

It will eventually take a dump if you put it through the paces What's it sound like w no pedals ?

I have a Wilder half stack that I got from a friend who’s grandfather had it in storage for decades. I think it was made in 1970. It has a rotating horn in it. It still works! Any thoughts about Wilder amps? I tried to find info about it, and there is hardly anything out there. Do I have a rare gem? Or is it nothing really special?

That thing needs all new capacitors, all the pots & jacks cleaned, and a 3 prong grounded power cord. I wouldn't power it up at all until i had it inspected and serviced. Very dangerous as it is here! New caps may solve that noise. If not, its probably a bad tube that acts up when it gets hot.

Be careful with this amp it probably has no power transformer and tubes are connected right to the mains. Which means there is nothing isolating the chassis from the wall outlet. If any parts fail could get 110v on the chassis which could give you a nasty surprise. Love your channel very much and I would miss you 😀⚡🎸

You might be able to fit a 10" speaker in it.

For 50 bucks can’t be beat and if it needed something it would be inexpensive to go through it. Gamble worth taking!

Man. For fiddy, you can't beat that! Sounds great, but would love to hear it dry without pedals. Awesome that it was in functioning order, but for fuck sake, get it to a tech ASAP. A tech won't break your bank by any means with the little quirky bullshit going on with it.
