My nephew has Tourette’s and autism but high functioning. He has a lot of stimming and ticks. Because of this he has really no friends or social life; lives in isolation due to the humiliation childhood brought to him by peers. Everybody’s got something they’re dealing with so let’s lead our lives with a little more grace, compassion, empathy, and understanding For those who are different. why do people have to be hating on other people? Why do we care so much about what other people think about us? We have no control over what other people say or do about us, the only thing we have control over is how we respond or react to it. stand up and call them out for the cowards they are. After all, we are all different… No two personalities on this planet are exactly alike. Nobody’s brain works exactly alike!

Billie my beautiful son has tourettes. Hes 36 and he's so gorgeous. I taught him to laugh at it so he wasnt laughed at. Better to laugh with them then to be laughed at. His friends respected and loved him always. I had no idea that you had TS.

My brother has Tourettes and learning and playing guitar helped his tics so much! At 43, he still has minor tics but only when he's extremely stressed.

There's like a wave of kids that "think" they have turrets but dont...but it's being caused from watching social media, especially tik tok where there's videos of people doing fake tiks and it makes other people think they have those tips.

Why would she be offended if they don’t know she has Tourette’s?

that’s exactly how my sons ticks are, they have gotten worse as he got older he’s 21 now and stress triggers them more.

I have a stutter, and when people don't understand, they laugh, and it's deeply upsetting and offending. If you don't understand, ask a question instead of assuming and only thinking about yourself.

You see? I love that. Billie understands why people laugh. Billie also feels offended though. That's amazing, realising other people's motives without invalidating your feelings. "I can understand why you did it and still be mad though." Understanding helps not keep resentment.

People should never judge before actually knowing someone

There’s really no need to be “offended” when what they thought is reasonable and not at all offensive.

My dad used to have me pick random words out of the dictionary. First one i learned was Elucidate. I had 2 strokes a couple of years ago and it affected my memory.. hearing that word brought some memories of my dad back. Thank you
