I dated a guy with Tourette’s. It never bothered him. He cheated on me 😂

the fact that she didn’t talk abt this like openly in the internet ‘cause she didn’t wanna be seen as “The singer with Tourette” makes me sad

I watched this interview and this was the most raw moment that I have ever seen. I didn’t even know she had Tourettes until this interview

Beautiful that she can embrace it, talk about it, and shine light on it!

If people knew it was tourettes theyd be less likely to laugh. You have to admit if someone does something random, and they dont know why, they would probably laugh out of surprise. It can be hard to talk about, but you'd get a better response from people if you dont leave them in the dark.

My sister has Tourette's. It's one of my favorite things about her. I love her squeaks!

I had no idea that Billie has Tourette’s Syndrome. My son and nephew have motor tics related to OCD and Tourette’s. Both have been bullied. I hope Billie continues to be vocal about her experience. Creating awareness is always the first step toward change.

I don't think I have met anybody with tourette's but that's sad. I feel bad for her, I'm glad she was willing to let it be known. Stay strong girl!! You are amazing

My sister whom I adored had Tourette’s with the verbal tics. Nobody even knew what it was. My mother tried to get an exorcist and then she read an article in readers digest about Tourettes and was able to get in touch with the author. He payed for her to fly to Washington and she was diagnosed in 5 minutes. I think she was 14. She was so beautiful that the boys over looked it but they had her on so many different meds that her liver failed and I unplugged her from life support I held her hand and sang Bobby McGee as she left this world at 50 years old. I wish she could have seen Billie and Lewis Capaldi. I was three when she was 11 and I would throw rocks and try and beat up people who made fun of her. One of he tics was using her finger and pushing on her gums. They had to rebuild her gums 3 times. She suffered a lot and she never met anyone else with Tourette’s. It pisses me off when people cuss and then say oops it’s my Tourette’s. It isn’t funny and it caused the death of my sister. Thank you Billie Ellish and Lewis Capaldi for having the courage for sharing your stories. I wish my sister had lived to hear your music. ❤❤❤

If you don’t explain the condition to the host or anyone who is doing an interview and suddenly, there is an unexpected move, an unexpected reaction could be surprised, a laugh or a scared is to be expected. Communication can make things less uncomfortable .
Just my opinion. No one can assume there was a prior conversation about someone’s medical diagnosis to an interviewer. An even then, there are natural responses to any situation. Some people smile, or laugh in situations of high stress or fear. Some people begin to sweat when speaking in front of an audience. I personally always am very respectful of everyone regardless of what is in front of me. But everyone, including myself have spontaneous reactions that has nothing to do with being cruel or disrespectful.

Sometimes talking about your insecurities with people will make you feel so much better and no longer insecure about it

People often react with nervous laughter when in a situation that they don't understand or when they're uncomfortable. It helps me knowing you like to address topic.❤

Dealt with this my entire life, not so much people laughing about what I do, but trying so hard to oppress the overwhelming urge to do whatever happened to be my tick at that particular time. Sometimes it's just blinking like very hard for a few seconds over and over, sometimes it's grinding my jaw, many other things but they cycle over and over. I've never told even my parents how much I struggled with this my whole life, but undoubtedly I have the concern and probably should have gotten it addressed. I can definitely relate very closely to what she's dealing with and it's not exactly a great feeling. Best wishes for her, she seems like a very genuine and down to earth person unlike so many other celebrities today
