It looks like it has a lot of impacts. Any tool, cheap or expensive will eventually brake after a lot of damage. I bought a 5 dollar fake benchmade balisong like yours over 2 years ago and it still works like new.

nah, its not broken, you just lost the thing in the small hole between the handles, that Prevents it from crossing.

What you're looking for in a butterfly knife is screwed, not pinned, construction and try to go for something all stainless steel. The ones with a black finish always rub off after a month and if it's pinned there's no way to tighten it or fix it. There are plenty cheap, all stainless steel balis with screwed construction that you can find in any farmers market for super super cheap. My $20 one went strong for a year before I lost it. Nothing broke

This is why I only get balis with zen pins, they are less likely to wiggle free, because I f the increased surface area to grip onto within the handle

I’ve had this balisong from all the way in the Philippines (I bought it there) like 5 years ago and it was like 6 pesos and it’s still great today

Okay so the problem there is the top tang pin fell out thats why its flopping around, there are many ways to replace it, when that happened to mine i hammered a lego lightsaber into the hole and it works fine now

Lucky I got a cheap on and it lasted for 2 weeks but do note if you are buying a cheap one buy it from a brand that actually does balisong and not from china

If you are going to get a butterfly knife for under 50$ I recommend the nabalis canyon or the nibalis vulp

I got a eight dollar one. It’s all metal and I got it off of Amazon. It has dragon imprints. It’s a pretty good knife for eight bucks very sturdy.

Just tighten it? Almost every Bali song has to be tightened after a few weeks/months. Should’ve done some research beforehand 💀😂😂

Pretty sure he's got a Bear and Sons trainer here, which everyone saying it's cheaper or $3 as opposed to $40, those people are wrong and Bear and Sons are notorious for bad quality control where it counts. Usually it's hardware or tang pins where you'll see the most issue with their balisongs. I personally flip some $300+ balisongs, but there ARE some cheap Amazon ones that are pretty good starting at around $27-34+. Recently one at about $34 with G10 handles caught me by surprise with how good it is. Cheap doesn't mean bad always, but sometimes it can be on top of a bad brand.
