My daughter fell asleep to this in 2008, 15 years later my 7 month old son is now😊

This album means more now than it did when I would play it for my daughter as a baby. We spent a few nights, thank goodness, in children's in Seattle where she was put in a medically induced coma and I was by her side through it all. I remember getting to this song (cowboy's lament) and bawling my eyes out. She always loved the yodeling part. The lyrics never really made much sense until I saw her helpless body laying there in the bed, with tubes and wires and machines beeping. I held her hand and prayed she would wake up and that we would go home soon. I whispered to her stories about what we would do and how we would eat big bowls of ice cream. We're part of the lucky ones who got to go home with our child 2 days ago. We know many are not. So we let her rest, and get her strength back, and tell us when she wanted to do something. I think the best was her asking if she could have a hot fudge sundae. A big one. I knew she heard me. I knew that my prayers were heard too. I am so grateful for our care team at SCH for the excellent service we received and for this album getting me thru some tough times. It was merely a sliver of hope that made the biggest difference between two options we were going to have to choose from. I kept my strength only thru my faith in God and the support I had from my husband and his family. So we celebrated today with a bike ride, and a big hot fudge sundae. Thank you Jewel for having a part in her recovery and keeping my sanity throughout our stay in hospital.

My mom played Jewel for me and my siblings when we I was 6 to fall asleep. Listening to remember those simple years now that I'm a college student - ironically as I'm staying up pulling an all-nighter for a paper. Gosh, the years flew by. So strange. Thanks, Jewel, for the peaceful nights of my childhood and for giving me a window back to them now.

Played her album for my whole daycare center I use to manage. This album at nap time put ALL the children to sleep. And I do mean all. From 2-4 yr old. The whole center, and now my children as well. 🥰🥰😇😇 such a blessing

My aunt who raised me bought me this c.d as a graduation present. Jewel is her favorite singer and we grew up listening to her our whole lives. When Jewel released this I graduated from high school and she said it reminded her of us. I cry every time I listen to it and play it for my kids all the time

It's sad because you waste your childhood wanting to be an adult and as an adult you long for childhood innocence and joyful memories. My childhood wasn't the greatest but I miss the ignorance and carefree attitude. As an adult everything changes, the fantasy becomes a nightmare

This album brings me to happy tears. Every night of both of my sons newborn stages and beyond I sung all of these songs to them and rocked them gently to sleep. It reminds me of the deep priceless bond we share and how far I have come as a young mother. It still puts them to sleep at ages four and two. Oh my goodness! I used to work as a teachers assistant at a daycare before I had kids, and they used this cd. I never knew the name of it because they just kept it in the CD player and the lead teacher just hit the play button lol Then I had my own kids and had been on the hunt to find it for them to listen to! It is just so beautiful and relaxing. Soooo glad I found this ❤
