some people askin if they can connect directly a hdmi cable to the laptop which is my case too but as i searched the answer is no sadly, it's not possible since the hdmi port on the laptop is hdmi port as "output" meanwhile it should be as an input port and thats why we should use the USB ( not totally sure tho, but thats it propably)

A similar way to do this without needing an adapter is to use Steam remote play. The trick is to stream the right program/game that you can minimize and then access the entire computer instead of just the game. The only problem is you need to have a display on the host computer so you can run Steam and set it up.

Hello. Does it mean that it can not directly receive from HDMI if you have a HDMI port? As in it a must to have the HDMI to USB even if you have a HDMI port on your PC.
