I went into the woods today!
Foraging is a finicky thing...
Sometimes you find what you're looking for, sometimes you find something new. Sometimes, you find nothing but mosquitoes and snakes.
But always, you'll find peace. At least, that's how it is for me.
It's been raining, so once the weather moved through, I thought, I should go look looking for mushrooms. Boy, am I glad I went out today!
PUFFBALL FRITTERS
1) wash and slice the puffball
2) coat in eggwash
3) coat in breadcrumbs and preferred seasonings
4) fry (I used lard)
5) enjoy!!
