I'm absolutely fascinated with the fact that you talk like a TV presenter even when you're just hanging out! I thought it was like a way of speaking that presenters only used when presenting! I'm also totally jealous because it is a way of speaking that I think, commands respect as you sound really knowledgeable!

Hi Maddie..can i just say my kids love your show on cbeebies. My boy James loves watching your show its so nice to see a program that actually explains how things are desiged and work, and done so in a way that is appropriate to the age of the audience, without being condescending. Keep up the good work, its a refreshment for us all.

If it’s white on the inside, perfectly edible. They are just yummy. We usually peal them first. Then cooor fry or grill. Gary oil adds goo flavor too.

I thought 'why do I recognise use this lady?'. Just realised my child watches you on TV!

I haven't come across puffball yet but apprently, fry in butter until soft, let cool. Then dip in whisked egg, bread crumbs then back into the fining pan. Sounds great and look forward to trying it myself!

I love these nature inspired vlogs.
You can also grow your own mushrooms in the form of a kit.
That puffball was massive! I'll bet it tasted great with sage!

My dad dries puffball mushrooms in a paper bag over the Aga for ages then uses them in soups and broths

You are so entertaining and clever, even in the context of a spur-of-the-moment vlog like this! Delightful.

When I was a child I was told that these grow when people chuck Bread Crusts on the ground! I believed this till I was 9 years old when I told my teacher and she laughed.
My father told me. I even tried growing one by stuffing bread crusts in my nans prize house plants for which I got into trouble! I was about 7 at the time and I stuffed crusts from 2 slices in her Coleus Plant Pots. :)

Love puff balls. Used to find them while camping. Best thing to do with them is cut them in half, hollow them out and use them as edible bowls. If you find one in good condition they taste really good raw.

@1:25 you are an absolute charm ... and arguably, yes, you need to know what mushrooms, it's rare people still know much about that, things massive, personally never seen one so large
