giant puffball mushroom to eat

I find, prepare, cook and eat a giant puffball mushroom. (Calvatia gigantea) they grow directly from the ground with no gills or stems. When young they are white with a leathery flesh. It will grow 8 to 15 inches in size. You can cook them like any other mushroom simmer or fry. The inside of the mushroom must be white and will be very bitter if it is yellow. You can find them in the late summer and early fall around the same area every year.
Knowing how to forage for food could save your life. Finding edible wild plants does not have to be that hard and remembering if you can eat the leaves, roots or flowers could be a lifesaver.
