When I’m under anesthesia I apparently repeat to my parents “I love you” over and over again. I’m also very friendly to everyone around me. My dad reported that in one evening whilst under anesthesia I: told the x-ray person that he was the nicest man I’d ever met, told my nurse that she had a pretty voice, stared at my anesthesiologist until she came up to me in concern and after asking what was wrong I just replied “you’re really pretty”, I told my doctor he was nice to talk to and tried to tell him about my favorite show, and finally I yelled out to a male nurse in the nurse’s station that I liked his mustache 😂

The effect is real. When I was under, I apparently kept calling for my late partner, kept asking the nurses and my brother to go get him. They didnt know what to do once my brother told them.

It's true. When my wife had her cancer surgery, the nurses told us it was like a truth serum. They told me to ask what presents I was getting for Christmas.

When they wheeled my wife back into her room, she saw me and started telling the nurses how wonderful I was. She then got this worried look on her face and told the nurses they couldn't have me.

I got two pieces of good news that day. One they got all her cancer and two I know how she really feels.
