SK Hynix has been an OEM for some of the biggest brands; you might have one even if you don't know it. They have been making RAM and NAND Flash memory for years and are finally back in the retail business with their latest Gold S31 SSD. Let us know what you think and feel free to ask questions in the comments.

If you are looking for something easier that works with everything, here is the easiest software to move Windows from one drive to another:

For anyone wondering you need a hynix ssd to use the software or else the program just won't run.

THANK YOU SOOOO VERY MUCH, I really appreciate you making this video. I have a good somewhat modern gaming PC but the HDD is atrocious. This was my first video after searching "how to upgrade storage on PC" and I am glad I clicked on your video. You explained everything phenomenally 👍

Man I am watching this on my Old PC (which runs off an HDD) and it's slow, but once I get an SSD it will be faster than before. Thanks for the video!

Wow, and I do mean Wow! I have been watching videos looking for how to replace my spinning hard drive with SSD and after many confusing, some disjointed and even incoherent instruction, I'm so glad your channel popped up. You have given me the best and most practical way to go. Very clear and concise instruction without the nonsense and unnecessary steps from other presentations. Thank you very much!

Thank you, I'm a broke college student majoring in aerospace engineering running with an office prebuilt rig. This video helped a TON!

I'm confused, at 12:46 he says "make sure the C drive is the size of your Hynix drive" but his C drive is still the smaller ssd that he had before and it looks like he formatted his F drive which seemed to be the size of the Hynix drive, im confused lmao can someone explain or did he just make a mistake?

The data migration tool worked like a charm like you said. I switched boot drives and changed my mechanical drive to storage. I previously tried this with a different tool but it wasn't able to boot up on the hynix drive. Thanks for the walkthrough!

QUESTIONS: First, are you saying that when an SSD is the primary drive Windows is being booted from on a Desktop, you only should have the Data SATA III cable plugged into the SSD, but not the Power SATA III cable plugged into the SSD? If that is the case, why?

Second, why are you saying it is necessary to have the SATA III Power cable plugged into the SSD while using Cloning Software?

Third, are you saying a 3.5" mechanical Hard Drive should use both the Data SATA III cable and the Power SATA III cable when the HDD is the primary drive being booted from? Or is it only necessary to use the Data SATA III cable?

I'm a bit confused after watching this video.

Is there a reason to spilt a SSD of 1tb into 2 partitions? Can I not change the partition sizes?

Will this software work with any brand drive? Is it still the best choice?

I presume the boot sector will work?

I'm doing this with my laptop.

Is it possible to just clone windows instead of all other files? And how would you delete the original windows on the hard disc?

I have an 8 year old laptop with a HDD that I just bought an SSD for. I’m gonna get a USB type c to SATA cable and try this to boot off the much faster SSD💪🏽🔥

QUESTION: My laptop from 2011 is a Dell Latitude e6420. It came with a Kingston 128GB SSD when I got it. This Kingston 128GB SSD takes exactly 17 Seconds to Boot every time. But when I cloned to a 1TB SK Hynix SSD with DRAM, it actually made the Boot times longer. The laptop now takes 20 Seconds to Boot. Why would it take longer with a SSD that is so much larger and includes DRAM?
