Change App Installation Settings on Windows 11

How to Install Unknown Apps in Windows 11: Disable installing apps only from Windows store.

To help protect your PC and keep it running smoothly, Microsoft recommends only installing apps from the Microsoft Store. You can choose where you can get apps from and if you want to see app recommendations when you try to install an unverified app from outside of the Microsoft Store.

Install Apps on Windows 11 without Store: Other way to install unknown third-party apps.
1. Select Start ➤ Settings ➤ Apps ➤ Advanced app settings.
2. Under Installing apps, select one of the available options. To stop seeing app recommendations, select either Allow apps from anywhere or Turn off app recommendations (options vary by Windows version).

For those of u that’s saying you don’t have it, search s mode in ur laptop and uninstall the s mode. Then It will show up

To find s mode, you can either search it directly in the setting or search “activation” in the setting then s mode should be available.

Took it out of s mode and still I don’t see it

alright, so those of u who are saying that when u turned off s mode and apps and features still wasnt there, try to install the what u couldnt last time and it should work. (atleast it worked for me)

It does not give me the option to choose where to get apps instead it tells me to sign in AND I ALREADY HAVE SIGNED IN.

in the spot where it says Choose where to get apps.. i have microsoft sign in and no choose where to get apps? do i have to wait 30 days to get my account?

Turning off S mode was all I had to do to allow ZOOM to be installed
