For those who have not the 8 bits alpha option, choose 32 bit, it s the same thing ;)

This was great, thank you. However since windows no longer supports Quicktime, I'm unable to use the rendered .MOV file :( Is there any other video format that supports alpha channels? Thanks

You don't need to use the animation preset. Prores 4444 will also allow you to export the alpha channel.

Hey everyone so I followed this tutorial and still had a black background but solved it - exported to AVI and codec: none, depth:32. made the file huge but I used a compressor after. It's annoying but works in a pinch..

5 years later, still relevant. Perfect video answer. In 4k this is a little big at almost 800mb for 60 seconds, but it works amazing!

I did that but it is STILL NO transparency. I selected 8+alpha and animation but still NOT working 😭

Does this not work for anybody else?
