“Kilig” is just feeling excitement. For example a couple showing sweetness to each other or kind of showing their love to each other. “Ay Naku” is just expression like “Gosh”.

Kilig could also be feeling “giddy.” It’s a feeling you get when your crush smiles at you or acknowledges you.
Gigil has no specific term in English. But an example is when you see a cute baby, it makes you want to “make gigil” on this baby. On the other hand, like Grae said, if someone annoys the heck out of you, you can say “gigil na gigil” ako towards this person.

Kilig is the same as thrill. Gigil means you like to squeeze a person or something because you find it cute.

"Manigas ka" this phrase was used a lot in the 70s. You can apply it again to people who are not pleasant, not helpful or not useful. In English it means, "Stuff you/it".or, "Dry up!"

Nice hair & makeup, Grae😊 I speak Taglish so correct me if I’m wrong …The Filipino vowels are “short vowels” so I think it would help in Mikes pronunciation of things….ie food, places etc . 🤷🏻‍♀️

"Na ko" or "naku" is just short for "Ina ko", ina is mother. Something annoys or upsets us to such an extent that we feel the need to mention our mother.

My first GF back in 2015 at my request wrote two pages of Tagalog words next to the English word it was a good way of learning if you had someone to use them with in a playful learning way

"hay nako" is like an expression of exasperation or also frustration

Hay naku is like "Oh boy" (with a bit of sarcasm).
Learn also "sana all".

hay nako. Haay is a sigh correct. Nako is a shortened word for Inay ko po. or nanay ko po. NaKo. or Nanay Ko (my mother). You can also use Nako po when getting surprised or startled (like oh my god). use Naku/nako po intstead of hay nako.
