Real Reason Why America Needs the South

Talks of Civil War and regional differences are all the rage these days, and it's perhaps no more prevalent anywhere else than in the discussion of North vs. South. So it begs the question, if the South were to secede from the Union, would it even be missed? How strong could America be without the Southern States? Today we're diving deep into the question to find out, does America even need the south?

I find it funny that the narrator did not mention that the southern states fought to open up during covid while the many in the other zones fought to remain close. Florida was the first state to open all business with minimal restrictions than the others.

I grew up in Mississippi. Beans and rice are dirt cheap and keep for years. People don't have food insecurity. They have fast food insecurity. Not being able to eat out every night and not wanting to cook is not food insecurity. I lived in Mississippi all my life and never met anyone who couldn't afford beans, rice, bananas, potatoes and mac and cheese.

This is silly. The conflict is not between north and south, it is between political ideologies. My own neighborhood is probably split about 50/50.

There was a lot of info left out of this report. For example, the half reporting started back in the first few minutes when it was reported that an immigrant is more likely to start a new business vs. an American citizen. What was left out is the fact that our government is more likely to award grants and loans to start a new business to an immigrant. Legal or not. It's been that way for a very long time. So now you guys have been warned that this report is incomplete and in my opinion disingenuous.

I guess as long as we are generalizing, I'll make some generalized statements of my own. We don't actually want to leave. We just want the busy bodies from the northeast, west coast, and Chicago to leave us alone. Stop calling me a bigot because I don't buy into your latest moral fad. I just hate how low the pay is in the south. The cost of living has increased in the last 5 years and the pay rate hasn’t adjusted.

Forget the Mason Dixon Line. DC, MD, DE and arguably northern VA ARE NOT southern states. I’ve lived in that region and they do not share the same politics and culture.
