The REAL REASON I Chose Germany over America

Just an American trying to learn more about and Germany and the rest of Europe. In all my years on this platform, I've NEVER received as much love and support as I have from Germany anywhere else, especially America. So in this video I explain how I started creating content around Germany and fell in love with the country and culture.

Today we're gonna check out The REAL REASON I Chose Germany over America.

The truth is, that we Germans think that everybody in the world hates us. You know, WW2, the holocaust, it's still in our collective memory. So, when somebody from the USA or any other place comes along and tells us, wow, Germany is beautiful and you guys are really nice, we instantly fall in love. 😂

Sometimes we decide to just adopt someone we vibe with - now you are one of us - don't worry about the language - we have difficulties to understand ourselves most of the time. :)

This video was so wholesome & real, friend. For a long time I’ve been having this idea that you’ll unlock the next step in your amazing YouTube evolution once you begin using your German in your videos, not giving a fck if you make mistakes.
Not only will you improve quicker due to feeling more comfortable, I am also convinced my people will carry you on their shoulders for that.

i learned german in high school and stuck with it because i thought i was german.
turns out great great grandma got around a little bit and im actually irish.

I don't exactly have the most positive feelings in regards to my home country, there's just so much stuff I disagee with going on.
But content like yours made me realize the positive aspects way more and helped me to balance my bias a little because often times we get way too fixated onto the negatives while being totally oblivious in regards to the many privileges coming with living here.
I mean I was very aware that I as a westerner am way better off than the lion's share of people on this planet to begin with merely by accidently getting spawned here of all places - I was referring more to not being aware about how much Germany has going for it even in comparison to many other western industrial nations.
Anyways, welcome over here and greetings from Berlin Neukölln, likely the most diverse place in Germany at large with around 200 nationalities being represented by expat communities within a district population of 300k - something I absolutly love about living here!

I find it really heartwarming that a black American is so enthusiastic about Germany and feels warmly welcomed, understood and treated by the country and its people.
