I think I’ll start with stream labs first. After I learn what I’m doing, I feel like obs is definitely the way to go. When I’m ready to expand my channel OPS seems like the way to go.

Well yes they are identical, Stream labs did take the base code from OBS like Stream Elements but SE and OBS don't have pay wall for way they offer. I like the usability of OBS, yes there is a learning curve in the beginning but once you learn it your good to go.

I originally tried Stream Labs but it ran my gaming laptop in the red and it ran so slow. Then I switched to OBS with the Stream Elements. But of-course that was some years ago then OBS and Stream Elements combined more of their programs and I just run base OBS with a simple plugins from Stream Elements as well as VDO.ninja. I like OBS studio so I can build my own overlays and pretty much build everything I want and need. What can I say it's the geek in me.
Great video.

"There is an answer to it, and that is OBS. Seriously, no one is asking this question. Streamlabs is worse on all fronts aside from being better at lying to newbies to lure them in."

Good video

I'd like to add, if you are a streamer with a... less than ideal laptop or computer and you need a program with lighter load on your CPU. A simple Stream overlay on OBS will run smoother than that same exact overlay on Streamlabs. Learned that the hard way on my old laptop.

Something that'll mainly be an issue for people streaming from Consoles, as most PC streamers will have a strong enough PC set-up anyway

Stream Labs is just annoying to say the least. having to log in, I prefer to just start using OBS without all the hassle. OBS layout is much more logical than trying to find where everything is in Stream Labs. I'll stick with OBS Studio every time. Tried Polypop and Prism... Too much of a learning curve.
