Hi Dr. Chan! I stumbled across your channel while looking into chia seeds. I am a Sebi-ite, so I agree with you, and I really appreciate your honesty and hard truth. Please don't be discouraged about some comments.
I am a firm believer that when the student is ready, the teacher will appear! You are that teacher and a very good one!!!

Thanks Dr. Chan in advance! I discovered your channel 15 minutes ago after I was researching some material on Chia seeds, it is heartening to learn that your channel has an authentic ring to it.
People get carried away and strive to quick fix their health issues by following the advice of unqualified individuals who are on YouTube to get more views for a commercial reason. Sadly, Youtube gives them the opportunity to disseminate pseudo science and misinformation without keeping a tab on them.

I quit sugar a long time ago. I love eating dates. That's how I get my energy. Thank you, Dr.

I have recently decided to cut out coffee from my diet, because it is too bitter for it to be drank plain and I want to reduce sugar consumption. I have always added a little honey to my green/white tea, but recently starting buying better quality tea, more sophisticated tea rituals and have been slowly reducing added honey to enjoy the subtle/delicate flavors.

Yes, you're right. Ugh. OK... rethinking my strategy to quit sugar. Don't replace it, just ditch it.

Doctor, where do you practice ? Do you treat liver disease, liver cancer and such ? My mother travelled to Canada to do a biopsy and she also had a failed ercp today, they said her bile duct is blocked, I don't know what it must be but you seem like an excellent doctor so I wonder if you treat this (or if you know someone who does)? Thank you

I say consider using Monk fruit sugar, it's definitely a healthier alternative. ❤

Once we get used to rejecting sugar, any sudden added sugar feels extreme.

Chukran (thank you). I agree not to add sweeteners to our food. But I know honey is healthy. I won't add it as a sweetener maybe, but I think it's ok to add a little bit of honey as a topping with my oatmeal for example. Do you think that would be ok? Isn't the issue the addiction with adding something "sugary" to everything we eat? If I understood correctly

Remember going no sweeteners/sugar for a year. Afterwards, i took a bite of a candybar and had to spit it out. I couldn’t believe i used to like it

Dr. Chan, what about RAW UNFILTERED honey? I heard it’s superior to regular honey, which often is adulterated with high-fructose-corn-syrup. I heard raw honey is good for our gums & does not encourage tooth-decay.

I totally agree. We gotta change our taste buds and get them used to bitter foods. But wow people don't like that at all. Since I reduced sugar I'm shocked at how sweet things are. It's ridiculous and unnatural. Well said Dr.
People should find out how sweeteners and alternatives like honey react in the blood and during digestion that is the reason one would want to reduce. A little honey is ok but with diabetes it's just like sugar in the blood😮

I THINK YOUR FULL OF IT, WHY DON'T YOU TRY LIVING WITH NO TYPE OF SWEETENER FOR A YEAR THEN MAKE A PART TWO VIDEO OF THIS MOST LIKELY YOU CAN'T, MOST OF THE TIME PEOPLE WHO DONT TAKE SWEETER BECOME DEPRESSED IN LIFE
