Most Disturbing Serial Killer of the Early 1900's | Heinous History

Before Ted Bundy and BTK, there was Earle Nelson...the most prolific serial killer to come out of the 1920's.

There are actual cases of congenital syphilis presenting with brain abnormalities. It's possible that beyond all the other injuries and illnesses, Earl may have been born with brain damage. In any case, it's horrifying as to the kind of life he led and all the pain, suffering and death that came from it. So much sorrow. I hope the souls of all involved have truly found peace.

There is no way this guy was going to turn out any differently due to his upbringing and head injury, especially back then and with no medical care. Even today the chances are slim that someone being raised like would turn out okay, especially with a frontal lobe brain injury.

Syphilis has made a huge come back. A friend of mines works in the NICU at the hospital and unit has multiple cases of babies with syphilis due to the mother having it. I thought that was a thing of the past, nope it is strong as ever. smh!

Whew! This case is so insane and even now my heart goes out to the victims. I say this for so many of these cases-the perpetrators are "created"! Horrible childhoods, multiple physical traumas, untreated diseases....Geez! Ya know, Dracula and the Boogie Man don't scare me....REAL PEOPLE DO!!!!

What a fascinating case. Maybe should have been titled The blueprint serial killer. This guy ticked all the boxes, head injuries, poor upbringing from birth and enforced religious fervour. He was also most probably suffering from the effects of his parent's syphilis. Again a case I had never heard of, your research and narration are birh excellent. Thank you.

Wow such a strange case, and so sad what he did to all of his victims. Especially with the reciting verses while committing these crimes, like that’s just plain creepy. And seems like he just progressively got more gruesome as time went on. Thanks for sharing this story, great video!

This was actually an insane case, also i don’t know if you’ve asked for recommendations on a case or a cult but i just recently heard of an old cult called cult colonia dignidad that was based in Chile and originally German, thought it was interesting and worth mentioning. Keep up the great work!!

Just a quick side note: Fathers were as far as I know never present at births up until I think the 90s or early 2000s when it started becoming more common. Usually at hospital births women would be all by themselves among strangers 😢
