I perfer Gi, cuz I know that transitioning to noGi wouldn't be a problem and 80% of the Gi techniques work,
Gi teachs to be creative,
Gi training is harder, no lucky escapes, just harder,
Gi training unlike noGi is very much better to the real world, the metality of "go with the flow" in the noGi is just not good in real fight, Gi training more often it more hardcore

Actually in Canada they wear the same clothes as anyone else's, their bodies are just acclimatized.
