Track and Field's Oldest World Record is in Trouble!!!!

Three days after setting a new world lead in her home country, jarmila Kratochvilova went to the german city of munich to open her 800m campaign. Coming into the race, Jarmila was already one of the fastest women in the event, but with a personal best of 1 minute, 56 point five nine seconds, she was not seen as an instant threat to nadizda olizarenko’s record that stood at 1 minute 53 point four three seconds. However after coming through the first 400m in 56.8 seconds getting clear of the rest of the field, the writing was on the wall, that something special was coming. And indeed that’s what happened,as she finished the second lap almost half a lap faster, to smash the previous world record, and post a mark of 1 minute 53.28 seconds.

Athing Mu may be able to break it. 49.84 400m speed at age 19 and says 800m is her preferred event that she is using the 400m to sharpen her speed for the 800m. The mind boggles at what she is aiming to run in the 800m if she considers her world class 400m time a sharpening up for her 800m. The girl has also got high goals one of which I am sure must be 800m world record .

Kratochvilová would have been a drugs cheat, as it was rife behaviour in those days. If we ignore that.... Athing Mu - if the Olympics go ahead/if she runs - will create a new world record ( not using performance enhancement).
Athing Mu is up there with Bolt and Johnson - supreme and genuine athletic talent.
Incredible, she makes it look like she out for a stroll....

Travesty. An 800m male or female is lean and sinewy; that woman was unnaturally stacked with muscle running unbelievable times. They should have preserved her samples for current day testing so that record could be properly discarded.
