Multikill: AMD Ryzen 9 5900X CPU Review & Benchmarks - Gaming, Workstation, Overclocking

Показать описание
Our review of the AMD R9 5900X CPU benchmarks it vs. the AMD R9 5950X, R9 3900X, Intel i9-10900K, and about a dozen others. Testing best gaming, workstation, and OC CPUs.

Our review of the AMD Ryzen 9 5950X CPU is already live, and now we're moving on to the 12C/24T AMD R9 5900X. This follows the AMD R9 3900X launch and somewhat displaces the 3950X, despite the latter having a 4-core/8-thread advantage. The AMD R9 5900X most directly competes with Intel's i9-10900K in price, or AMD's own previous R9 3900X. The 5950X is mostly reserved or sensible for workstation PC builds, while the 5900X splits the middle between a true workstation-class CPU and a high-end gaming-class CPU. Today, we'll be testing gaming performance, overclocking performance, showing the best CPUs for gaming in 2020 (so far, again), the best workstation CPUs for Photoshop, 3D art, compression, and more, and testing power consumption. Our AMD R5 5600X review and benchmarks are coming soon, as are our AMD R7 5800X review and benchmarks.

For the record I'm glad you guys do these videos. 2 years later, I finally have extra money to upgrade my 3600x for use of my unraid server. And with the price of the 5900x being 320 bucks today, I think this is a great upgrade.

Seeing as I literally can't stand Intel due to their anti consumer, anti competitive bullshit they've pulled towards amd in the past it is so satisfying to see amd demolishing Intel.

So, 5900X is the now 3950X having >90% of its production performance while being top-notch in all the rest including gaming. What a bargain!

The next two reviews better be titled, "Killing Spree" and "Killamanjaro" respectively lol

It was said AMD improved the execution unit design, no wonder why they slaughter Intel so efficiently

AMD is competing with itself at this point.

I got the 5900x for $300 US over the holidays and oml this thing is just the best. Boosted my FPS significantly over a 2700x when paired with 1080. Easily overclocked to 4.7. Even 1 year later, unless you are waiting for the next line of Ryzen with probably a new socket, you should get this processor if you are looking for something right now.

Intel: "Coffin Lake coming soon ⚰️"

Nvidia: "Stop he's already dead"

AMD: "No."

I’m excited to see the value of the 5800x, I pre ordered it on B&H and I’d like to have something to be excited about when it arrives for Christmas next year

Tried to get a 5900x this morning but in Canada our largest computer retailer had around five stores with a single 5900x each across the 35 stores in the entire country.

Up until now, AMD is the good choice for overall performance, while intel takes the gaming crown..
This is what happens when you sleep intel. I game so I went intel, but even before this one, if i were to build one I will go AMD. And with this release, for sure its AMD.
I have intel..but damn good job amd, thank you

I really hope Intel makes an "AMD killer" by 2022 not because i am a Blue fanboi but i don't want to see a reversal of the last 10 years. Rather I want to see a race with each team trading the lead to give the market the best consumer advantages.

3 years later, thank you for making this review. It is still relevant, upgrading gpu and realizing I do want to upgrade my cpu. Thank you for your excellent and detailed reviews.
