Asian countries that have experienced colonialism, invasion or intermix due to trade tend to have more mixtures. Chinese Hans hasn’t really got much mixed in as a result. That said, other ethnic groups in China might have some interesting mixes

People see Americans dna test results and assume that there’s is going to be diverse too. North America and South America results are going to be very diverse because of the history of these places, the people are mixed

I am kazakh, central asian, and I suggest taking the test! Its fascinating to learn our diverse asian heritage. Its normal to find Kazakhs with green or blue eyes and looking Asian. but i can imagine for countries like Japan, Chinese that are mononations to have so little diversity

This is misleading, not all Asians are Mongolian/Chinese descent which is why I strongly suggest getting a DNA test if you are Central Asian, South Asian, or Southeast Asian.

Thats actually not the case for all asian, i have a very diverse break down like most eastern central asian, such as Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan. And i found that I came from many places, i would still recommend trying it though if you're curious!

I used familytree DNA. I'm half Korean adopted. They told me I was 50% (as expected ) Korean and now after the update I'm 7% Korean. Also they said I was 12% European but now I'm zero even though out of hundreds of matches on my page 99% of them are of pure European heritage. 😂
