Current New Zealand Wiring Rules 2023

What are the current wiring rules in NZ?

We use the AS/NZS 3000:2007 Standard - Electrical Installations wiring rules in New Zealand, not the AS/NZS 3000:2018 version!

From australia, its crazy that we still have to purchase these books and that it all hasnt been incoporated into a phone app that is updated as new rules are updated. Not sure about fees in nz but we pay hefty fees to electrical unions and licensing companies here in aus. Its pretty ridiculous if you ask me that we are working with books from 2007 and well before.
One system they automated was electrical certificates which we consistently pay per job obviously to get their money faster.

I have a question, does the main power line coming from the road connect to the meter box first then to the homes switchboard or is it the other way around?...also, when I was young Im sure I recall our house had a copper metal sticking up out of the ground, do all houses have these?

You can find the full AS 3000 pdf at the usual file sharing sites though seeing there's no guarantee of its authenticity it might not be a good idea to risk your career or life on it!.

Regarding a NZ electrical safety cert, what is your opinion on an appliance that is hard wired at its site, removed from the site and repaired then returned and reinstalled. I was involved in a debate as I have been asked to complete a safety cert with the repair being " part of an installation". I have said it's not part of an installation, its an appliance. Or is a hard wired appliance part of the installation but a plug in appliance not? Thanks

Very confusing because when you look on their website it says the AS/NZS 3000:2007 has been superseded
