These are great videos mate, keep it going. I've been an electrician for +/- 27 years. My son is now my apprentice and I have recommended your videos to him. Although he is getting heaps of on the job experience, these videos will also refresh his memory.

Thanks heaps, a bunch of other videos were too intricate and confusing. Yours was straight to the point, i appreciate that.

I’m not an electrician and this vid was helpful in giving me an idea about how my switches have been wired (looping at the light). I’m hoping to make these switches “smart” by using Shelly 1 Plus (or similar Shelly wifi relay). Can you tell me if this would be possible with the looping at the light wiring set up??

Dude your videos are fantastic and I’m certain you have already saved more than a few lives in the process.

Like all Sparkies I know, they understand the law but understand reality even more so.

As if I’m going to call a mate in or call a sparkie to change a light fitting or a wall switch…. Come on.

Very hard to find info online regarding Australian / NZ circuits so you are filing a big gap here too

Can you do 8 different lights with 2x2 way switches so 4 turn on off each switch 4 switches total?

Do you favour 1.5mm over 1mm? Or is it just situation dependant?

For connectors. What do you think about wago 221 connector. Waiting for the day they become standard rather than the old connectors. Easier to disconnect and reconnect.

Thanks for the video, you make it easy and simply to understand. One question I have, How many lights can you daisy chain from one switch? I'm thinking of a number of lights (LED's obviously) (6 prefer 8) for my garage so I don't get shadows when working at my large L shaped Bench?

That last graphic about extending the circuit with the loop at the light method doesn't look right to me. Wouldn't you take the Active from the loop terminal as it is unswitched to extend the circuit ?

Why didn't you plug the live wire from the hard active box I to the L connector of the bottom switch ?

Because you connected it to the L in the upper lightbulb... I would have expected the same move in the lower example.

Great video mate. I have a faulty light switch from a house built in the 70's in AU however it looks like theyve gone with Switch #2 looping. I pulled the switch away from the plaster and noticed two reds, one going in each port (which i am assuming will go in C and the one beneath, but then there are two blacks twisted together and going into another port. Am i correct in assuming these are currently in the LOOP socket in the old light? Cant really see much on it since its such an old plug and dirty as heck.

Reason for replacing is im hearing some static spark when flicking this light on so we've stopped using it until it can be replaced. Thanks

Hey there man, I just had an question on the second option you pointed out since I just started an VET course to become an electrician,
I was just wondering if it matters where you put the red part in the light switch, because we had an practice session and I couldn't understand what I did wrong.

Also, does the one connected to the power have to be in control and the one connected to the light bulb have to be in 1 or 2, And if not, would it still work if I were to put the red wire from the light bulb to the control and the red wire from the power to 1 or 2, would this way still work ?

I also don't understand where the common, 1 or 2 is within the light switch since it wasn't pointed out in the material we use in the course. can you please give me any tips on these or any other ways to try and make it easier for me?

Sorry for wasting up a bit of your time but I appreciate you trynna help us rookies, much love❤
