Dude, I can't stop watching your videos. I wish all that you show on them applied to WA. We have freakin' brick houses, hard to manipulate, harder to chase/trench walls to place a cable and what is even more frustrating everything is screwd up to start with. I highly appreciate you sharing your experiences. Cheers mate!

Love all your videos! I am doing a Cert II right now, and made the mistake of having one of the screws contacting the insulation in a wiring prac. Haha, was disappointing when I didn't get a reading on the meter/the light wouldn't turn on hahaha.

I am not understanding why the metal c clips that are used are not earthed. If the live wire were to ever fall loose to hit that clip and someone grabs it they will get zapped, right? Not likely, but most accidents are not likely.

Hi Dave. Thanks for info. I am fitting a new counter top above the front loader and dryer. I don't want to have a hole in it for the leads to go to the existing power-point. could I use a power-point with extra switches in the original to control the live to a new lower positioned power-point that I wont be able to get to when the units are in?. I will put in a recessed power-point below

G'day Dave,

Mate, could you chuck a how to up on wiring a remote operated ceiling fan into an existing lighting circuit.

I've been wiring a shed using your light switch how to, connecting the Neutrals and Earths away from the switch, and wiring the common and live only. I'm confused with how a fan would be wired into this circuit as far as Neutrals and Earths.
I hope you can help us out!!

what if I put many many many layers of gibboard on the studs, should the box still be attached to the stud (even though that means a great distance between the cover and the box) or should it protrude a bit from the stud?

Thanks mate. How many sockets should I have for a single breaker?

Can we wire from 1 point to the other. I want a point next to the toilet for a bidet.

How does the loop in the cooper interact with the screw? Does the screw end touch both sides of the loop? Should there be a gap in the loop?
