Sadly you are right in what you say about Harrisburg, I have lived here all my life born and raised here. around 35 years ago it was NOT to bad but it has become very undesirable to live here, the air quality is bad and getting worse mostly because of the mountain ranges, they block the movement of the air which causes it to become Stagnated Air and not very fresh, Harrisburg has turned into a very sorry place to live!!!! ☹

As someone who lives 3 miles away from the harrisburg capital building. I have never seen a horse and buggy within a 10 mile radius of harrisburg before.

I have lived here most of my life and never ONCE encountered an Amish buggy. That is literally the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. To describe the city as swarming with Amish people...which it is not. And to insinuate this is a problem. The Amish live in communities near Harrisburg. They are hardworking people who by and large keep to themselves bc that's what Amish people do.

Also, in terms of air quality...I've never heard that we have some of the worst air quality. Out of all the cities??? Doubtful. I've never had an issue with air quality. Nor has anyone I know. I would say pollen can be an issue for people with allergies.

And farm show traffic is literally a week...in and around the farm show building. Don't go and you can avoid it. My family loves the farmshow. It's a fun family outting and tradition. This video is lousy at describing Harrisburg.

Your video is well crafted, but there are some things that are not true, especially that of the Amish. I have worked as a bus driver for over 20 years in Harrisburg and I have never seen an Amish buggy or horses in Harrisburg, this calls into question where you got all this information. The Farm Show not only presents the annual show of the farmers but also presents several shows that are presented in other large cities such as boat shows, car shows, Barret Jackson auctions, dog shows, RV shows etc... I recommend you to visit Reading, Allentown, Chester, Philadelphia, Pittsburg, Hazelton, Port Lucie, Detroit and Dayton before you name Harrisburg the worst city of US.

I grew up in Harrisburg and I don't like her comments. You keep saying row homes are for the poor well they're not!! Over half of the stuff she's saying it's not true she doesn't know what she's talking about.

I agree harrisburg is a nasty citybut not for your reasons.
Harrisburg is a typical long term dem controlled city, failing infrastructure, housing, piles of trash, crime in the news every night.
My time in harrisburg is on I 81, I 83 or the Pa. Turnpike driving east IAW the posted speed limit or a little more.
The Susquehanna river is a broad beautiful river, however harrisburg screws it up with at least 90 millon gallons of raw sewage dumped into it every year. The citizens recently elected a new mayor that says she is going to fix things, riigghht.
She has been on city councel for a long time and was the council president. OK, just more of the same.
Back about three mayors ago 'Linda' accused residents from across the river driving into town to dump their trash, called them scumbags.
What a putz. East shore is harrisburg falling apart one of the worst school systems in the state, very high dropout rate.
West shore is clean and thriving, good schools, very good graduation rate with most going on to further education.

Thanks for the video! Regarding the Amish, however, I'll cheerfully disagree. I've lived and worked in and around Harrisburg for 35 years and have never once seen their horse drawn carriages anywhere near the city!

First and foremost....to a very large extent, YouTube absolutely THRIVES and PROSPERS on negativity. With that in mind, happiness depends an awful on the individual. Some people are incapable of being satisfied or happy ANYWHERE. An Emerald City Of Oz, even one design by them personally wouldn't please them.

Lived in the burg for 18 years on second street uptown. Beautiful area grand old houses. Lovely river front. Biking and kayaking and rollerblading. Beautiful sunsets. Friendly neighborhood. Now the bad. Car broken into. House broken into. Drug deals infront of my house. Garage parked in can't get to work on time.Shell casings out behind my house on Penn street. High taxes. Flood zone. Never seen horse and buggy in the burg. The reviewer is part correct and part wrong. I lived in a good part of the city. I deliver flowers and see some very bad areas much worse than the Second street corridor. She has some truths but she is way off base.

This person obviously know nothing about Harrisburg except here say. She drove around the capitol which is a five minute drive at most and gave you an assessment like a five year old. Yes there are many row house . Lots of dilapidated but there are many beautiful house i the area as well. Her bias with the Amish community is deplorable and you would think they were doo wopping in evry corner the way she said it. Not the greatest place but certainly better than what she had to say.

Instead of constantly telling everyone that watches these videos on YouTube about how bad Harrisburg is, start telling the folks in Harrisburg how great Greenville, SC is, lots of government checks, loads of section 8 housing, plenty of circuses and cakes for everyone that wants to move back to South Carolina, what a wonderfu l place to move to, and don't forget Spartanburg and Anderson beautiful places lots of things to do free housing or cheap housing and lots of quality of life. Just think if all the reasons that ruined Harrisburg moved back home, SC. We could take back our once beautiful cities.

I was born here, lived here until I was 11yrs old and HATED IT. I agree with everything in this video, but I have never seen an Amish person. Why would seeing Amish people make the list? Anyhoo, horrible place to live and I am so glad my mother moved us to the Midwest and never looked back

Wow who knew that little Harrisburg Pa. would be the leader in row homes, I never see them in other cities. Also most large cities are built along rivers and every city I've ever been to smells. And toll roads, yeah no other states have toll roads. I call BS on your assessment. BTW I have no skin in this game, I'm a commuter who works in the city.
